In 2013, with Kennel Club permission, the EACA introduced
‘Special Award Classes’ to its show classification, these to be judged by one of our ‘C’ List judges.
‘Special Award Classes’ – A novice judge is invited from the EACA’s ‘C’ list to judge these classes which take place during the lunch break. Judged separately from the main show, a beaten dog in these classes is not considered a beaten dog in terms of challenging for the Best of Sex, Best of Breed, Best in Show or even Challenge Certificates in the main competition.
‘SAC Mentoring Scheme’ – We now offer a mentoring scheme for all SAC judges, as the
committee agrees there is no training or support for those novice judges on the ‘C’
